We are looking for an experienced Access Consultant to support the development of Hoppily Ever After, our brand-new musical for families.
We want to ensure the production and the experience of attending it are as welcoming, accessible and inclusive as possible for children and families with a range of access requirements.
The role will involve working with the creative and producing team to identify practical ways to improve accessibility across the production and audience experience.
This could include attending rehearsals and providing feedback, advising on the performance experience, or developing resources such as a visual guide or visual story to help audiences know what to expect when they come to the show.
The five days do not need to be spent entirely in the rehearsal room and can be divided between in-person sessions, meetings, remote consultancy and developing access materials.
We are looking for someone with:
Professional experience in access and inclusion within the arts, theatre or live performance.
A strong understanding of access requirements for children and families.
Experience advising creative teams, artists, venues or producers.
The ability to turn access principles into practical, achievable changes.
Experience creating or advising on accessible audience information and resources.
Excellent communication and collaborative working skills.
Experience of working in family theatre, children's work, libraries or community settings would be particularly welcome.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with lived experience of disability and/or strong connections to disabled audiences and communities.
Fee & Expenses
£1,000 freelance fee – 5 days at £200 per day.
Up to £100 additional travel expenses are available, subject to prior agreement.
The work will take place between October and December 2026, with the majority completed before the show opens on 19 December 2026.

We are looking for a Community & Audience Development Consultant to support the library tour of Hoppily Ever After, our brand-new family musical.
The production will tour to library services across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire during the first two weeks of January 2027.
The role will involve working closely with our library partners to help them reach local families and communities and maximise audiences for the performances.
Each library service has a £300 engagement budget, which can be used flexibly for activity such as targeted marketing, workshops, community outreach, promotional activity or other ideas that will help bring audiences to the show.
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in community engagement and/or audience development.
A proven track record of working with community groups and organisations.
An understanding of theatre, live performance and the arts sector.
Strong local knowledge and connections in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and/or Warwickshire.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A creative, practical and proactive approach.
Experience working with libraries, schools, family organisations, community groups or local cultural organisations would be particularly welcome.
The majority of the work will take place during November and December 2026, ahead of the January tour.

Stage Manager – Hoppily Ever After
Little Seeds Music are looking for a Stage Manager to join the company for our new family musical, Hoppily Ever After.
About the production
Hoppily Ever After is a brand-new musical for families, with music, book and lyrics by David Gibb. The one-hour production features a cast of three actor-musicians who perform all of the music live.
The production is supported by Arts Council England.

Dates and location
We are looking for someone who can commit to the majority, ideally all, of the following dates:
Rehearsals:
2–6 November 2026 – Castle Quay, Banbury
Production and tour:
30 November 2026 – 17 January 2027
Technical rehearsals:
14–17 December 2026 – The Story Museum, Oxford
Oxford run:
19 December 2026 – 1 January 2027 – The Story Museum, Oxford
Tour:
2–16 January 2027 – Schools, libraries and community venues across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire
There will be scheduled days off throughout the engagement.
We would particularly welcome applications from Stage Managers who are based in Oxfordshire or within reasonable commuting distance of Banbury/Oxford, as this may enable the successful candidate to commute rather than require accommodation.
The ability to drive is not essential, but would be an advantage. Driving responsibilities will be shared with another member of the company.
We are keen to hear from candidates who may not be available for every day of the first rehearsal week. Some flexibility may be possible.
Role and responsibilities
The Stage Manager will work closely with the creative team and company throughout rehearsals, technical rehearsals and the tour.
During rehearsals, responsibilities will include:
Keeping the book and recording changes
Accurate placing and calling of cues
Creating a supportive and organised rehearsal environment
Some minor prop sourcing
Preparing rehearsal notes and calls
Supporting the creative team and company with the smooth running of rehearsals
Any other duties reasonably required for the successful development of the production
During the production and tour, responsibilities will include:
Overseeing get-ins and get-outs during the tour, supported by the company and in-house venue technicians
Sharing company driving responsibilities with another company member
Operating the show's lighting and sound
Producing show reports
Supporting the company and venues to ensure the smooth running of performances
Any other duties reasonably required for the successful delivery of the production
Fee
The fee is £650 per week, for a total fee of £5,200 for the eight-week engagement.
Holiday pay of £516 (4.3 days at the daily rate of £139) will be paid in addition to the fee.
Where relocation is required, accommodation and per diems will be provided in addition to the fee, in line with applicable ITC rates at the time of engagement.
For candidates who are able to commute rather than relocate, commuting costs will be reimbursed in line with applicable ITC thresholds and rates.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Stage Manager who enjoys working on new work and with small, actor-musician-led companies.
Experience of touring theatre, working with live music and/or family theatre would be welcomed, but we are primarily interested in finding someone who is organised, adaptable, calm under pressure and committed to creating a positive working environment for the company.
A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
