Introducing Hoppily Ever After: A Frog Prince Musical

We’re beyond excited to announce our brand-new musical for families: Hoppily Ever After: A Frog Prince Musical.

Following the success of Cinderella Ice Cream Seller, we’re bringing together the same creative team for a brand-new fairytale adventure, packed with original songs, big laughs and a generous sprinkling of magic.

Hoppily Ever After features music, lyrics and book by David Gibb, direction by Tristan Jackson-Pate and design by Vic Spearing.

The show opens at The Story Museum’s Woodshed Theatre in Oxford this Christmas, before heading out on tour to schools, libraries and community venues in January 2027.

Welcome to Hoppily Ever After…

Welcome to Hoppily Ever After - the kingdom’s most in-demand songwriting agency, where love songs are written for every occasion.

Behind every hit is Prince Riberto — an award-winning songwriter with a gift for turning romance into music and, thanks to an unfortunate run-in with a powerful sourcerer, currently a frog.

Tasked with understanding true love, Riberto and his trusty employees Lily and Patrick throw themselves into writing hit after hit, with awards, adoring fans and happy couples in their wake. But lately, something doesn’t feel quite right.

When a royal commission arrives - a song for the Queen herself - everything is on the line.

From the team behind Cinderella Ice Cream Seller (“brilliant songs, colourful staging, and comedy for both kids and adults” - The Scotsman), this joyful new musical is packed with catchy songs, big laughs and a sprinkle of fairytale magic.

For ages 5+ and their grown-ups.

A big-hearted new musical about friendship, second chances, and discovering what love really sounds like.

See it in Oxford this Christmas

The show opens at The Story Museum’s Woodshed Theatre in Oxford this Christmas, running from 19 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, before touring to schools, libraries and community venues from 2–16 January 2027.

Tickets are available to book now via The Story Museum.

We can’t wait to introduce you to Riberto, Lily and Patrick — and to take you behind the doors of the kingdom’s most extraordinary songwriting agency.

There’s a song for everyone. Even frogs.
