Cinderella Ice Cream Seller – What The Press Are Saying at the Fringe

Cinderella Ice Cream Seller – Edinburgh Reviews So Far

We’re still in the middle of our Edinburgh Festival Fringe run, but we just had to share some of the lovely things people have been saying about Cinderella Ice Cream Seller. It’s been such a joy playing to full houses, hearing the laughter ripple through the room, and spotting people leaving the theatre humming our songs.

The Scotsman called it “a whimsical reimagining” of Cinderella – “a song-filled journey of entrepreneurship, flavour, and fairy tale reinvention” – and said they loved the brilliant songs, colourful staging, and comedy for both kids and adults.

The List described it as “a perfectly scrumptious scoop of children’s theatre” and said the polish and range of talents on display might have you thinking we’re West End veterans (we’ll take that!).

We’ve been thrilled to get ★★★★★ from One4Review, Mini Travellers, MixUpTheatre, and The List, and ★★★★ from Broadway Baby, who said the show is “funny and engaging” with “catchy songs” that stick in your head (sorry… not sorry).

Here’s what some other folks have said:

  • Lothians With Littles – “charming and creatively reimagined… giggling from start to finish.”

  • Mini Travellers – “a fantastic hour of music and fun… the Fringe’s tastiest treat!”

  • MixUpTheatre – “funny, intriguing and everything you could hope for!”

  • Edinburgh Fringe Family Guide – “funny, heart-warming, and completely captivating,” with “flawless vocals” from Lauren Harthorpe and David Gibb.

If you haven’t seen us yet, there’s still time to grab a ticket. Come laugh at Caldwell’s obsession with rules, help Talvi come up with new ice cream flavours, and maybe leave singing We’re Gonna Make Ice Cream all the way down the Royal Mile.
