Artist Bio

Andrés was raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where he began recording music at a young age. He later earned a Doctorate in music and was awarded a national composition prize. Christina grew up in the U.S. in a Spanish-speaking family, studied Latin American and Hispanic Studies at Brown University, and earned a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Their combined backgrounds in music, education, and performance shape their unique sound and approach.

Their debut album, ¡Uno, Dos Tres Andrés! en español y en inglés (2015), was bilingual and educational and earned a Latin Grammy nomination. Their next album, Arriba Abajo (2016), won the Latin Grammy for Best Latin Children’s Album and a Parents’ Choice Gold Award. (They also released albums like La Luna [2018], Canta las Letras [2019], Actívate [2021], and We Grow Together – Preschool Songs [2023]; the latter won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Children’s Music Album, and Actívate received a Grammy nomination.)

They have also authored bilingual picture books including Hello Amigo / Hola, Amigo, Ten Little Birds / Diez Pajaritos, and Mi Comunidad / My Community. Their live shows are full of Latin American rhythms and interactive energy.
